Introduction to POWER for Internal Colleagues

Introduction to POWER for Internal Colleagues

Part One: Upload Products for Donation

In part one, you'll learn how to upload details of product/s you have available for donation into POWER. We'll enter details of your product into a spreadsheet before uploading that into POWER. Finally, we'll commit the items into your donations stock, your virtual inventory of items available for offer in part two of the process.

Key Takeaways:

  1. Use a spreadsheet to upload essential and optional information about products available for donation.
  2. Review and resolve any missing information.
  3. Add restricted countries to your donation.
  4. Commit your items to your donations stock.

Part Two: Offer Donated Products to NGO Partner/s

Now that you have added details of product/s available for donation into your donations stock, you're ready to prepare an offer to share with one or more NGO partners. In this video, you'll see what your NGO partners will see when they login and respond to your offer. We'll review essential offer statuses, and their meaning. We will finalise an offer; your agreement with the partner detailing what product they can expect to receive.

Key Takeaways

  1. Create, edit and add products to an offer to share with one or more NGO partners.
  2. Understand the difference between main offers that contain multiple sub offers (one per NGO partner).
  3. Understand how you can cancel and offer and how your NGO partner can reject an offer.
  4. Add accompanying information to the offer such as shipping information and SAP order number.

Part Three: Monitor & Report on Donated Products Distribution

Now that you have finalised your offer and shipped your donated products, we'll move into the final part of the product donations process; monitoring and reporting on your offers. In this video, we'll review the offer statuses of finalised, received and completed. You'll see what distribution data your NGO partners can share with you; how they can input it, and the must-have information you need before bringing the offer to a conclusion.

Key Takeaways

  1. Offers can remain in received status until all product is distributed.
  2. End of year reporting is based upon shipping date, e.g., add a shipping date to a finalised or received offer to include it within end of year reporting.
  3. Three essential items are required for each line item; local partner and/or country of distribution, use of donation and no unaccounted units.
  4. Know what information is required; who can add it, and when they can edit it.
