My two-factor authentication is not working

Are you having trouble gaining access to Boaz due to an issue with two-factor authentication? If you are experiencing difficulty accessing Boaz due to a problem with two-factor authentication, this guide will help you regain access. Follow these steps if you have previously enabled two-factor authentication, but it is no longer working and you are unable to log in:
  1. Firstly, you’re going to need some assistance from a friend! Get in touch with the colleague who invited you to access Boaz and who currently has access and ask them to complete the following a, b, c steps. (If they are not available, you can contact the Boaz support team):
    1. Log in to Boaz and locate the locked-out user account in the users & organisations module.
    2. Click to edit the user account, toggle two-factor authentication off, and then click ‘save’.
    3. Now that the user’s two-factor authentication has been turned off, immediately toggle it back on and click ‘save’. The next time you try to log in, you will be prompted to set up a new two-factor authentication code.
  2. Open your authenticator app and delete any old Boaz authentication codes. These will no longer work. 
  3. Go to Boaz and log in using your username and password as usual. You will be presented with a two-factor authentication page that displays a QR code. Follow the steps in your authenticator app to add a new authentication code and scan the code displayed on your screen. This will generate an authentication code that you can use to log in.

Once you have deleted any old authentication codes and set up a new authentication code, you will be prompted to use your authentication app to log in as usual.
